Description

This is an essay I wrote for a college contest through The New York Times Magazine in August 2008. The prompt was based on an essay by Rick Perlstein, titled What’s the matter with college? In my entry, I assert that nothing is wrong with the college experience today. However, it is markedly different than the college our parents attended and if we judge it by the same benchmarks, we will undoubtedly be disappointed. Higher education still holds a valuable place in society, but just as the world is not the same as it was a generation ago, neither is college. You can access it online, here
